Once when my teenage girl neighbor
was walking home from school and got locked out of her house.
Nobody was home, so she could not get in. I did not know her
but I still helped her by getting a ladder from my garage. Then
she climbed up to her balcony door that was unlocked.
My mother was having a hard time
folding up the clean laundry. She had been at it for half an
hour, so I helped her fold them up and roll up the socks. The
clean laundry pile was gone in five minutes.
When I was in a market, a blind
man could not find the shopping baskets, so I led him to them.
I also showed him where the dairy aisle was since he needed yogurt.
When my father was all tired out,
he was feeling weary, I made him feel better by giving him a massage.
Once I had two old sweatshirts in
the car while I was driving by an East Palo Alto donation building
so I dropped them of.
