\Last night, Jeremy and Jean-louise Finch were walking back home from a Halloween school play and were attacked by Bob Ewell. Jean-Louise (or Scout) says that Bob Ewell ran after Jem, broke his arm then attacked her. But her "ham" costume protected her when she was stabbed by Bob Ewell. Bob was then killed when he he tripped and fell on his kitchen knife. The "mystery man" carried Jem to safety after Bob died. Scout, unhurt, ran home to Jem but the "mystery Man" had gone already. The two children say that they couldn't identify who saved there lives. The good thing for most people is that Bob Ewell won't bother anyone anymore.
