November 21, 1934:(I took this articles out of the Maycomb Times) Today, Miss Mayella Ewell has been raped by Tom Robinson. Miss Mayella was on the front porch when she saw Tom Robinson coming back from work. She asked him if he could help her by busting a chiffarobe for her. He accepted and followed her into the house. When Miss Mayella was about the show him the chiffarobe when he threw to the ground and took big time advantage of her. Bob Ewell was coming back when he saw Tom Robinson raping his daughter though the window. Tom Robinson ran away because of his guilt and also because Bob Ewell said he'd kill him. Bob Ewell ran after him, but went back to his house because Tom Robinson was too far ahead to catch up. He went to see Miss Mayella and saw finger mark around her neck, as if she had been strangled. He saw she had a black eye on her left eye. She also had scratches on her face and bruises on her legs.
