The Song of Myself
by: Sophie Delphis
My eyes are an endless forest
My eyelashes are branches watching over my face
My hair is dangling vines twisting whenever I braid them
My mouth is a cave gulping down food
My lips are guardians of that cave
When I cry, water covers the branches
in my forest
When I run wind goes through my vines
When I am angry my cave opens up and screams
When I run fast, I prance like a deer
