The pearl didn't bring safety to Kino and Juana. Since the pearl was really rare because of its size and its color, everybody wanted it. Some tried to find another one as beautiful, but others tried to steal it from Kino. We think that those people were really selfish. They should have let Kino have it because he never had good and valuable things in his life. Unfortunately, Kino killed someone he would not have killed if he hadn't found the pearl. In addition, someone burned Kino's hut down. Juana was very afraid because she cared deeply for her family. As a result, Kino and Juana were unsatisfised because their safety was in danger.
